Instructions:
You will write a brief yet concise scene by scene list of the essential story beats, or plot points for each of or your A-Story, B-Story, C-Story, etc.
You will also “break your story” by highlighting potential act breaks for each of your A-story, B-story, and C-story.
Breaking Your Story
“Breaking Your Story” is determining where would be a good place to end an act or go to commercial. At the end of an act break you want to keep the audience from turning away from the show. Find the moments in your storylines that present strong plot, emotional, or mystery moments that have the potential to hold an audience’s interest until the commercials are over.
